Berjaya Air (formerly the Pacific Air Charter) announced the new schedule of its Koh Samui (USM) - Kuala Lumpur (SZB-Subang) route twice a week. Flights depart from the island Thursdays and Sundays at 4:20pm and 6:10pm, respectively. Return flights from Kuala Lumpur are at 2:35pm (Thursday) and 4:20pm (Sunday). The airline introduced the ATR 72-500 aircraft for the said flights, providing added comfort and shorter travelling time for passengers. The ATR is well known for its reliability; the aircraft is likewise rated to be among the most environment friendly turboprop aircraft of today. Flight from Koh Samui to Kuala Lumpur takes about an hour and 15 minutes. The flights land in Subang, 30 minutes to Kuala Lumpur City center by taxi and an hour and 30 minutes to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Return tickets on this route start from 200 USD for adult passengers; children passengers are charged USD 100. Holiday packages are also available upon request. Berjaya Air also offers flights from Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to other smaller islands in Malaysia such as Pangkor, Redang, and Tioman.
