THE Rotary Club of Koh Samui’s new president will be installed at a Grand Party in Baan Taling Ngam Resort & Spa on July 3. Peter Breaks will take over the leadership of Rotary Club, or Rocks, from outgoing president Claudio Cerquetti. The affair will start off with a Sunset Cocktail at 6 p.m., followed by Gourmet Dinner (which includes red or white wine and beer) at 7 p.m. Ticket for the Installation Night costs Bt1,500 inclusive. Tickets can be delivered at your home by e-mailing Adele Smith at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Dress code for the affair is smart. Proceeds will be for the benefit of Rotary Club charity projects. Live music will be provided by a Filipino group, courtesy of Thaiam Entertainment. Meanwhile, the last dinner party arranged under outgoing President Cerquetti was a great success. Held at the Barge Restaurant in the Nora Buri Resort, North Chaweng, last May 28, the dinner drew over 30 Rotarians and their guests. Guests enjoyed a welcome cocktail followed by an extensive choice of delicious dishes from the buffet tables. Red and white wine flowed freely throughout and after the meal. During the raffle, Jintara, the president’s partner, drew Cerquetti’s own ticket number. Embarrassed, Cerquetti insisted a new ticket be drawn. Lynn Gregory won the prize, a meal for two at the Barge. |
