AN Englishman on holiday here and out early evening looking to buy a bowl of noodle soup met his untimely death when a speeding pickup truck overtaking another vehicle hit the motorbike he was driving head-on recently in Bangrak.

Thousands protest against oil drilling E-mail

THOUSANDS of island residents were joined July 31 by people from Koh Tao and Koh Phangan in showing their opposition to the ongoing oil exploration and drilling off Koh Samui and neighboring islands. They linked hands together to form a continuous human chain along the 52-kilometer Ring Road in a show of solidarity.
