A caretaker of a fruit orchard was found hanging under the roof of his hut located near the Wang Sao Thong waterfall recently.
Nam-mon Jitphong, 30, was  dead for at least 12 hours before his employer, Preecha Baunak,  discovered his body.

Preecha told the police that he went to check Nam-mon in his hut when he failed to report for work that day.

Describing Nam-mon as a hardworking employee, Preecha said he found the door and the windows of the hut locked from the inside.

He called out  several times but got no response, he said, so he climbed up to the ventilator to enter the hut.

It was learned that Nam-mon had just broken up with his wife, who is from the Northeast, before he was found dead.

Witnesses said he bought a few bottles of beer the night before his supposed suicide.

His body was taken to the Koh Samui Hospital for autopsy to determine the cause of his death.
