A pipefitter was killed at noontime on Jan. 9 after falling from the third floor of a building under construction in Bophut. Police said Virayut Boonleung, 29, lost his balance while installing a heater on the third floor of the building. As he was falling, he grabbed a live wire, causing a burn in his hand. Samui Rescue volunteers who rushed to the scene of the accident took Virayut to the Ban Don International Hospital where doctors tried to revive him – to no avail.
